Locals come out in force to meet Heysham M6 Link team

Last week Costain, the construction firm tasked with building the new link road connecting Morecambe and Heysham to the M6, held four local exhibitions to give local residents the chance to meet company representatives.

The aim of the exhibitions was to explain in more detail how they will build the road, and what impact can be expected during the two and half year’s construction period.

Project Manager Andrew Langley said, “It was great to see so many people came out in force to visit the exhibitions, with over 100 people attending each event. It was interesting to hear a wide range of queries and concerns that people have in the area.

On the road network we’ve got traffic management in place at several locations, this will be a familiar sight for commuters as the project continues. The lights, barriers and cones are there to keep everyone safe, please look ahead and adhere to the signs around the traffic management.”
